Good organization makes the message clear.
In this chapter, we focused on the importance of a well-organized speech and presented strategies for organizing the body of your speech. Good organization helps your audience understand your message and enhances your credibility as a speaker. Remember the following principles when you organize the body of your speech: With your purpose and audience in mind, select an appropriate number of main points. Organize your supporting materials to back up each main point. Arrange your main points in a pattern that will best convey your ideas to the audience. And use organizing words and sentences to help the audience keep track of where you are in a speech.
