Your instructor may require you to include a list of works cited—a list of the sources you cited in your speech—
If a list of works cited is required, include a full citation for each source you used in your speech. Your instructor probably will require you to use a particular style for documenting sources. The three most common documentation styles are those recommended by the American Psychological Association (APA), the Modern Language Association (MLA), and the Chicago Manual of Style (CMS). Regardless of which style you use, make sure to follow your instructor’s requirements for the works cited.

A list of works cited is not a substitute for the proper citation and quotation of evidence in your outline or speech. Even if you include this list at the end of your working outline, it remains your ethical obligation to attribute all information that comes from research sources. Each time such information is used in your outline or speech, you must identify the source.
