Introduction Speech for a Classmate

Consider the text below. Then submit your response(s).

Interview a classmate and discover his or her name, where he or she is from, what he or she is in school studying, and his or her favorite hobby. Then compose a one-minute speech of introduction. After you have had time to interview your classmate and compose your speech, give the speech in class. Unless your teacher gives you an alternative, you can base your speech on the following outline:

    2. Hobby: Relate to the class the hobby or hobbies of your classmate. Illustrate the hobby with a short story you learned from your classmate.
  3. Conclusion
    1. Summary: Summarize the main points of your speech.
    2. Closing: Tell the audience what they can learn from knowing the person you introduced.
