DEVIN HAHN
Devin Hahn is a native Californian with a B.A. in anthropology and documentary filmmaking. He also has an M.F.A. in creative writing from Boston University, and he is a producer, shooter, editor, and writer for BU Today and Bostonia, Boston University’s two largest periodicals. BU Today is the daily news and information site for Boston University, and Bostonia is its alumni magazine. The following video, filmed by Hahn, appeared on the Web sites of both magazines in 2010. This four-minute piece features anthropology professor Dr. Jeremy DeSilva discussing his research on how the ancestors of modern-day humans (Australopithecus) gradually developed the ability to walk upright. Using evidence from two summers of fieldwork in Uganda as well as a collection of renowned fossils, DeSilva discusses a number of captivating comparisons.
