Stem Cells: Scientific Progress and Future Research Directions was published in 2006 by the National Institutes of Health. Every chapter of this report offers many excellent examples of the organizational patterns discussed in Chapter 7 of your textbook—from chronological and spatial organization to cause and effect and comparison and contrast. Addressed to the general reader, the report also contains numerous definitions—informal, parenthetical, and extended—and descriptions, complemented by effective, full-color graphics. In a 1,000-word memo to your instructor, describe and evaluate two different organizational patterns and two different kinds of definitions used in one chapter of the report.
