M3 Spacing
Allow standard spacing between words and punctuation marks. Most style guides recommend leaving one space after a sentence and supply specific directions about spacing source citations.
M3-a Supply any missing space before or after a punctuation mark.
Although spell-checkers can help identify some misspelled words, they do not indicate spacing errors unless the error links two words or splits a word. Always proofread carefully for spacing errors around punctuation marks.
M3-b Close up any unnecessary space between words and punctuation marks.
