Question

It used to be that prime-time (evening hours) television viewing was a well-defined and critically important time when audiences across the nation overwhelmingly tuned in to one of the Big Three television networks (NBC, CBS, and ABC). How does this compare with the way you and your family or friends watch television programs today? How do you think your viewing experience might be different if you were answering this question thirty years ago?

In a commercial-based media system, advertising is the lifeblood of the industry. How is "time shifting" affecting television advertising, and how are marketers reacting to these changes? As a media consumer, do you time-shift (record a program and watch it later, or watch it online)? Why or why not?
