The second is a system dominated by a publicly funded media company, such as the BBC in Britain. What do you think are the strengths and weaknesses of each?

One perspective offered in the video is that something people love about commercials is that they can “make you feel good about the free and open commerce that goes on in America.†Do you personally agree or disagree with this statement? Can you think of any commercials that have made you celebrate or criticize consumerism?
