-Hello, everyone. We're reporting live from outside the University Library to celebrate National Library Month. And here with us are two students, Joe and Iris, who've spent the whole day in the library. Lucky you. So tell us, Iris, what did you do in the library this morning?
-Well, my day started with an iced double-shot caramel macchiato with soy, and I planted down and watched a state-of-the-art media presentation which allowed me to finish all of my research for my project.
-Well, that sounds terrific. What about you, Joe? What's the first thing you did when you came to the library today?
-I got to the library, set up my books, looked at a textbook for a while. Got pretty hungry, so I strolled down to the McDonald's and got an Egg McMuffin.
-Oh. So, Iris, what did you do at the library this afternoon?
-Well, because I finished all my research for my paper, I went ahead and borrowed one of the library laptops and was able to do a full draft and printed it out right there. Then I brought in one of the writing tutor,s and he did some corrections, and we made all the necessary edits. So that paper's completely finished.
-Wow. What about you, Joe?
-Got back to the library. Decided to take a nap. So took the nap, and when I woke up, I had drool all over my face. My friend had to, like, run over with--
-Thank you, Joe.
-Sure.
-Anything else, Iris?
-Well, yes, actually. There was an advertisement for a work-study position on the bulletin board in the library, so I went ahead and applied to that. So I'm feeling pretty great. And I was able to pick up a book I had shipped to me from the library across the state.
-Well, isn't that something.
