[? MCKENNA STEADWATER: I'm ?] McKenna [? Steadwater ?], an auditory leaner. So I have to listen and write at the same time. I usually start studying as soon as possible. Whenever I find out when the test is, I usually start studying as soon as possible. That's the best strategy for me. I've always been a pretty studious person, I think, but the only thing that's changed is I've learned to study more. I take more notes. I don't write out every thing because in high school I wrote out every single thing that was on the board. Now I usually use acronyms or I shorten it or summarize it so that I can actually go back and look at my notes and read it aloud to myself. So that I can understand exactly what I wrote down.

FEMALE STUDENT 1: My learning style through my CSU 10-22 class that I'm in right now. And I can agree that I am a kinesthetic as well as and auditory learner. I have to come to class and really listen to the teacher. Have to be hands on and it helps me learn new ways to do the little activities to help me study. Be in groups and hearing other people reiterate what they got from a lesson and it really just helped me do well in class.

FEMALE STUDENT 2: I've learned that I am a rewrite learner and it has helped me in my approach to my lessons drastically. Because I knew I loved to read. I could read continuously, non-stop with no problem and retain, but I didn't know why. I didn't know because that was my learning style. But knowing that, now that I'm in class, and I've read the material before and I'm watching PowerPoints, I write at the same time. And I feel like this is what I do. This is how I learn. So it affirms that's just how I work. I read even assembly things, like when you buy something new, I'm the person who actually takes out the instructions and reads them. So I just could not categorize before. Now I know that's just my learning style.

FEMALE STUDENT 1: And you have to adjust and adapt. Each teacher and each subject is different. The way I approach math is different to how I approach psych. So you have to make adjustments and adapt to the teacher, the learning styles, and the material. In math, I do repetition. I do formulas over and over, but in psych I try to make it fun. Use games, go online, and try to interact with other people because psychology is more about interaction.

MALE STUDENT 1: I'm a visual learner and I've used that in class by-- when it's just a lecture class, I will sometimes even put my pencil or pen down and just watch the professor speak. And just sit there and absorb the information by watching him use hand motions. Just listening to the information and just having a visual effect with just watching the professor. If I need to, just keep watching, but jot down some key words. For some professors, I have to pay attention that way different to other professors that are less lecture type of teachers.
