Quick Help: Editing for pronoun-antecedent agreement

• Check all subjects joined by and, or, or nor to be sure they are treated as singular or plural, as appropriate. Recast any sentence in which agreement creates awkwardness.
• Check all uses of anyone, each, everybody, many, and other indefinite pronouns to be sure they are treated as singular or plural, as appropriate.
• If you find he, his, or him used to refer to persons of either sex, revise the pronouns, or recast the sentences altogether.
