- Check every confusing sentence to see whether it has a subject and a predicate. If not, revise as necessary. If you find both a subject and a predicate and you are still confused, see whether the subject and verb make sense together. If not, revise so that they do.
- Revise any is when, is where, and the reason . . . is because constructions.
