Considering Disabilities: Web site accessibility

CONSIDERING DISABILITIES: WEB SITE ACCESSIBILITY

While the Americans with Disabilities Act stipulates that all government Web sites must be accessible to those with disabilities, these rules have now been expanded to cover educational and other Web sites. If you encounter sites that are not accessible to you, ask a reference librarian to help you identify similar sites that may be more accessible. Also consider clicking on the CONTACT US button, if there is one, and letting the sponsors of the site know that some potential users can’t get ready access to the information.
