Visuals.Visuals (such as photographs, drawings, charts, graphs, and tables) should be placed as near as possible to the relevant text. (See 15c for guidelines on incorporating visuals into your text.) Tables should be labeled Table, numbered, and captioned. All other visuals should be labeled Figure (abbreviated Fig.), numbered, and captioned. Remember to refer to each visual in your text, pointing out how it contributes to the point(s) that you are making.
