Using the notes you composed for one entry in your bibliography in the previous step, draft a complete annotated entry for that source. The entry should be approximately 100–200 words (three to seven sentences).

Start your entry with the bibliographic information for the source. For the bibliographic format required for your project, see MLA, APA, or Chicago.
Then write a summary identifying the thesis and purpose of the source as well as the credentials of the source’s author.
Evaluate the source with your research question in mind. Ask yourself:
- How does this source contribute to your project?
- How does it help you take your place in the research conversation?
