Parallel ideas in headings and lists

In headings and lists, aim for as much parallelism as the content allows.

Example sentence: The planning committee developed a three-step process: [bullet 1] Complete an energy use survey. [bullet2] Appoint a task force to plan building conversation. [bullet3] Hold an information session for tenants.

Each bulleted action is expressed as an imperative verb with a direct object.
