Figure. Sample editing log. Notebook pages with one issue plus examples on each page. The student has used one notebook page for each issue noted on page 1 of the editing log (in previous figure). The top of the page gives the writing issue, such as Subject-verb agreement, Verb tense, and Articles. This is followed by faulty sentences from her papers, with handwritten corrections. For example, for her original sentence “The author write . . .” has has revised it to read, “The author writes...”
