Unlike some languages, English requires a subject and a verb in every sentence (except in commands, where the subject you is understood but not present: Sit down).

Example sentence with editing. Original sentence: Is often hot and humid during the summer. Revised sentence: It is often hot and humid during the summer.

Example sentence with editing. Original sentence: Students usually very busy at the end of the semester. Revised sentence: Students are usually very busy at the end of the semester.
