Simple tenses

The simple tenses indicate relatively simple time relations.

Simple present tense (base form or -s form)

Example sentences: We donate to a different charity each year. The sun rises in the east and sets in the west. The plane leaves tomorrow at 6:30 p.m.

Simple past tense (-ed, -d, or irregular form)

Example sentences: She drove to Montana three years ago. When I was young, I usually walked to school with my sister.

Simple future tense (will + base form)

Example sentence: I will call you next week.
