It may seem obvious that students should submit their own work; however, in online classes, the temptation to copy and paste text from outside sources can be greater than it is in on-site classes. Make sure that all of the work you submit—from discussion posts to final essay drafts—is your own. Check your syllabus to make sure you understand your school’s academic integrity policies and to learn about the penalties for cheating and plagiarism.
