With a current project in mind—in any class—consider your audience for composing. Take notes on the following questions.

- What sort of information do you need to gather about your audience? How will you go about gathering that information?
- Your audience members might have specific questions that are pertinent to their needs. Can you anticipate what those questions might be?
- Some members of your audience might be resistant to or skeptical about your topic; you might need to appeal to them using different types of evidence. What kinds of evidence might work best?
