Sontag, Susan. As Consciousness Is Harnessed to Flesh: Journals and Notebooks, 1964-1980. Edited by David Rieff. New York: Farrar, Straus and Giroux, 2012.

Explain

  • Begin with the author’s name, as for a work with an author or authors.
  • After the title, give the editor’s name, in normal order (first name followed by middle and last names).
  • In the note, use the abbreviation “ed.” before the editor’s name. Because “ed.” stands for “edited by,” it is the same for one or more editors.
  • In the bibliography, use the words “Edited by” before the editor’s name.
