Writing practice: Examining the writing in a particular field

The more you read in a discipline, the more familiar you will become with the conventions and expectations for writing in that discipline. Choose two assigned readings from one of your courses. Reread them, taking brief notes in the space below on these questions as you read:
- What key questions are the writers asking?
- What types of evidence are the writers using to explore and answer these questions?
- What do you learn about the discipline’s specialized vocabulary or writing style?
