- the artist’s name
- the title of the artwork, italicized
- the date of composition
- the location of the artwork, if given in the source
- the title of the book in which the artwork is found, italicized
- the author or editor of the book (preceded by “by” or “edited by”), if any
- publication information for the source (publisher, date)
- the page number on which the work may be found
