Revising your annotated bibliography
Seek comments from your classmates on the draft of your annotated bibliography entry (or on your entire bibliography, if you have drafted one). You can use your classmates’ comments to help you revise.
Click Submit after each text box to submit your answers to your instructor’s gradebook. You may review your answers by returning to this activity at any time. (An activity reports to the gradebook only if your instructor has assigned it.)
The following questions and guidelines will help your reviewers focus their feedback and help you plan your revision.
- Is the source summarized clearly? Have you identified the author’s main idea?
- Have you evaluated the source for accuracy, quality, and relevance?
- Have you made a clear judgment about how and why the source is useful for your project?
- Have you used quotation marks around exact words from a source?
- Have you provided complete bibliographic information for each source in the style required (MLA, APA, Chicago)?
The following strategies may help you decide how to use your reviewers’ comments.
Use this space to write a few revision goals before you revise your annotated bibliography entry and compose your entire bibliography.
