Revising your reflective letter
A-106
Seek comments on your draft from your classmates; you will use their comments to re-see your writing and to help plan your revision.
Click Submit after each text box to submit your answers to your instructor’s gradebook. You may review your answers by returning to this activity at any time. (An activity reports to the gradebook only if your instructor has assigned it.)
The following questions will help your reviewers focus their feedback and help you plan your revision:
- What insight or major idea do readers take away from your reflective statement? Can they summarize this idea in one sentence?
- Where in your piece do readers want more reflection and more detailed explanations?
- Is your reflective statement focused and organized?
- Have you used specific passages from drafts, feedback, or other documents from your portfolio to illustrate your reflections?
- Have you explained how you will apply what you learned to future writing assignments?
These checklists provide guidelines for you and your reviewers.
Use this space to write brief notes in which you reflect on what you learned from your reviewers’ comments. In addition, write some revision goals before you revise your reflective letter.
