A research proposal will help you focus your search and provide opportunities for feedback. After you have a draft of a research proposal, exchange your draft with a classmate and give each other responses based on these questions:

Have you identified your preliminary research question?
Have you described the research conversation you’re entering?
Do you provide details about your search strategy?
Have you created a working bibliography based on your initial searches?
