Form groups according to major, and analyze the website of an important professional organization in your field. Each member of the group might investigate one of the following questions:
Who is responsible for creating and maintaining the site?
What are the major kinds of information provided on the site?
What is the major function of the organization? Whom does it serve? What services does it provide? What activities does it sponsor?
What is the role of students in the organization? Are there special activities or opportunities for students? Can you suggest ways to increase the role of students in the organization?
