A self-described Internet phenomenon, Amy Walker (b. 1982) is a singer, actress, and director from Seattle, Washington. Despite her American origins, Walker was educated at the University of Wollongong, New South Wales, Australia. Her various YouTube videos, including “21 Accents,” have garnered more than 20 million views combined. She has been featured on The Today Show and Inside Edition, and has been heard on National Public Radio (NPR). She has also done voiceover work, stage plays, commercials, and film and television.

In this short video, Walker assumes 21 different accents in speaking English. Her accents span not only those of the English-speaking regions of Great Britain, North America, and Australia but also those of nonnative speakers of English. More than just putting on an accent, Walker is also able to suggest different characters, even while speaking virtually the same lines over and over.
