1. Using the Internet, research the use of propaganda by different Allied and Axis countries during World War II. How was the use of propaganda similar and/or different, and how did propaganda campaigns evolve over the course of the war?
2. While the documents provided reflect different experiences of the various minority groups, there is far more to explore about the wartime circumstances of each. Working individually or in small groups, select one of the minority groups discussed in this unit (women, African Americans, Mexican Americans, Japanese Americans, or Native Americans) and research their role on the home front and/or battlefield during the war. Present your findings to the class to help them more fully understand the experiences of the minority group. Research must include additional primary sources but can also use secondary books, articles, and academic Web sites according to the guidelines of the instructor.
