Learning by Doing: Organizing Your Files

Outline the principles behind your system for managing files. If your system is random or disorganized, figure out a system that makes sense to you and keeps your writing for several courses well organized. Compare your ideas with those of a few classmates, and help each other to improve your plans. Then move your existing files into your new or refined system. Maintain your system by storing files where they belong and sticking to the pattern for naming and dating them.
