Tubulin. Microtubules can be viewed as an assembly of α-tubulin–β-tubulin dimers. The structures of α-tubulin and β-tubulin are quite similar. Notice that each includes a P-loop NTPase domain (shown in purple) and a bound guanine nucleotide.
