Subject: Video Project: Need your help finding authors to interview

Mallory,

I am writing to you about an upcoming project. This summer I’m working with a video producer on a project to interview local literary authors. You and I need to begin identifying interviewees and inviting them to participate. We plan to conduct interviews in July and August. Note: I’m CCing Sophia because she’s helped me with a similar project in the past and might have some helpful tips for you.

1. I’ve attached a list of authors that I’d like to invite. Could you please find their contact information—e-mails, addresses, and phone numbers—and those of their literary agents and add that information to the list? I will take it from there.

2. Next, could you please check the following local university writing programs and organizations to see if you can find an additional six or so literary authors who are currently teaching?

  • Brown; UMass Boston and Amherst; Emerson; and Boston University
  • Pen/Faulkner Foundation and other literary groups

If you could send me this information by Friday, June 11, at noon, that would be great. Thanks, Mallory, and let me know if you have questions.
