Questions to Keep in Mind

1. What areas seem to make this person who he or she is? What seems to define him or her?
2. What makes the person interesting?
3. What areas of the person’s background seem to have contributed in important ways to his or her life?
4. Look at the interview content from readers’ perspective. What will seem to connect the reader to the person you interviewed? What will surprise the reader?
5. If this is a story, what type of story is it? Comedy? Tragedy? A story of human triumph?
