The town of Sycamore, Illinois, installed parking meters with prices reminiscent of the 1950s, when the price of parking was 1 cent per 12 minutes or 5 cents per hour. Parking citations were $1.00. The parking meters, stuck in a time long before inflation set in, became a tourist draw for the town.
