Female Sexual Interest/Desire Disorder
1. For at least 6 months, these individuals usually display reduced or no sexual interest and arousal, characterized by the reduction or absence of at least three of the following: a. Sexual interest b. Sexual thoughts or fantasies c. Sexual initiation or receptiveness d. Excitement or pleasure during sex e. Responsiveness to sexual cues f. Genital or nongenital sensations during sex 2. These individuals experience significant distress.
Female Orgasmic Disorder
1. For at least 6 months, these individuals usually display a significant delay, infrequency, or absence of orgasm and/or are unable to achieve past orgasmic intensity. 2. These individuals experience significant distress.
Exhibitionistic Disorder
1. For at least 6 months, these individuals experience recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, urges, or behaviors about exposing their genitals to others. 2. These individuals either act on these urges with nonconsenting individuals, or they experience significant distress or impairment over the fantasies, urges, or behaviors.
Transvestic Disorder
1. For at least 6 months, these individuals experience recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, urges, or behaviors involving cross-dressing. 2. These individuals experience significant distress or impairment over the fantasies, urges, or behaviors. (Information from: APA, 2013.)
Pedophilic Disorder
1. For at least 6 months, these individuals (at least 16 years old) experience recurrent and intense sexually arousing fantasies, urges, or behaviors involving sexual activity with a prepubescent child—at least five years younger, and in most cases not more than 13 years of age. 2. Gender Dysphoria
1. For 6 months or more, these individuals’ gender-related feelings and/or behaviors are at odds with those of their assigned gender, as indicated by two or more of the following symptoms: a. Gender-related feelings and/or behaviors that clearly contradict the individual’s primary or secondary sex characteristics b. Powerful wish to eliminate one’s sex characteristics c. Yearning for the sex characteristics of another gender d. Powerful wish to be a member of another gender e. Yearning to be treated as a member of another gender f.
