The Persuasive Interview

At times the goal of an interview is not merely to inform or gather information. In a persuasive interview, questions are designed to elicit some change in the interviewee’s behavior or opinions. Some political surveys, for example, are aimed at securing your support for (or against) a particular candidate or cause. You might also do some persuasive interviewing to convince others to give blood during a campus campaign or to vote for your candidate in a campus, local, or national election.
