Writing a script is a lot like weaving a quilt—you need to merge different threads together, including characters, emotions, plot points, setting, time period, action, and dialogue. There is no single way to get this done, but students and professionals alike need meaningful input to determine how their scripts can be improved. As a writer-director and graduate of a professional screenwriting program, Julia Camara has a lot of perspective on how to absorb notes into her work, which she shares in a video interview available only in the Chapter 2 Video Activity.
