If your college or university offers study-abroad opportunities, take advantage of them. Visiting or living in another country for a period of time (a few weeks to an entire year) is a great way to expand your horizons, learn about another culture, and become competent speaking another language. Many colleges and universities offer scholarships or grants for study abroad, and some even have student residential accommodations in the host country.
