Motivation

Most college students have many responsibilities, and it can be hard to stay motivated when you have too much to do. Positive feedback can help, and it’s important to realize that this can come from within—motivating yourself is a big part of being emotionally intelligent. Draw from past positive experiences to propel yourself through a current challenge. Consider how conquering a challenge provides an example to others. What positive outcomes will result? Being emotionally intelligent also means knowing when you need some distance from a challenge or project. Identify the experiences that have motivated you in the past and call on them when you do not feel motivated to persevere.
