The information in the right visual field goes to the left half of each eye and then to the left hemisphere. Half of the fibers from each eye cross over at the optic chiasm to go to the opposite hemisphere—the right half in the left eye go to the right hemisphere and the left half in the right eye go to the left hemisphere.
