An aminoacyl-tMA synthetase attaches an amino acid to its tRNA

Each aminoacyl-tRNA synthetase has binding pockets for a specific amino acid and its cognate tRNA. By this means, an amino acid is covalently attached to the tRNA with the corresponding anticodon.
