Flowering and Day Length Simulation
When do plants flower?

Short-day plants (SDPs) flower only when the day is shorter than a critical maximum. Long-day plants (LDPs) flower only when the day is longer than a critical minimum. Using the orange slider on the graph, try to determine which category each of the plants below represents. Click LDP or SDP for each plant. Then hit the "Check answers" button. The dropdown menu allows you to select between two locations (one in the Northern and one in the Southern Hemisphere).
