Exercise: Creating an editing checklist

EXERCISE 4.8

Using several essays you have written, establish your own editing checklist.

To begin a checklist, jot down all errors or corrections marked on the essays you have written. Then note the context in which each error appeared, and indicate what you should look for in the future. Keep a copy of this inventory that you can add to every time you write and edit a draft.
