Why did the European population rise dramatically in the eighteenth century?

AANOTHER FACTOR THAT AFFECTED THE EXISTING ORDER OF LIFE and forced economic changes in the eighteenth century was the beginning of the population explosion. Explosive growth continued in Europe until the twentieth century, by which time it was affecting non-Western areas of the globe. In this section we examine the background and causes of the population growth; the following section considers how the challenge of more mouths to feed and more hands to employ affected the European economy.
