Since the release of the 2005 film Diary of a Mad Black Woman, Tyler Perry has become a major creative force in Hollywood, often writing, directing, and/or starring in several movies per year, as well as venturing into television production. One of his most popular characters is Madea, an elderly woman played by Perry who appears in many of his biggest hits.
