The bar graph represents the scores for the United States and Sweden, based on Geert Hofstede’s Cultural Survey. According to the Hofstede Centre’s Web site, “The fundamental issue here is what motivates people, wanting to be the best (masculine) or liking what you do (feminine).” As you can see from the graph, the United States has a much higher score on masculinity than Sweden.
