Add Supporting Details

Once you have chosen your primary support points, you will need to add details to explain or demonstrate each of those points. These supporting details can be examples, facts, or evidence. As the following examples show, a supporting detail is always more specific than a primary support point.

THESIS STATEMENT More research is needed on how to treat autism, a serious disorder affecting behavior, communication, and social interaction.
