When you have developed support for your main point, along with supporting details, use your critical thinking and reading skills to evaluate it. Does the support make assumptions? Does it reveal a bias in your point of view? Go back to Chapter 1 and remind yourself of the common logical fallacies described in “2PR: Pause to Think.” It is important to review your support in this way because errors in reasoning make it difficult to make your main point effectively.
