At the request of Harvard researchers who studied his sleep behaviors, Shaq began wearing a special mask to keep his airway open at night. He now reports sleeping better and feeling more energized during the day (American Academy of Sleep Medicine, 2011; National Heart, Lung, and Blood Institute, 2011).
